What we knew was that our Grandfather came from 'Canton' or rather Guangzhou in Guangdong. Speaking with Uncle Anaru we found out that we came from a place called Saa-teen (my spelling). So after giving the 'shout out' to the many travel sites that I'm a member of, I was told that:**I'm not sure this is the one you're looking for, but there's a Sha Tin in Hong Kong, which is also in the Pearl River Delta. And;
**There is a small town called "Fuwan", on the banks of the widest branch of the Pearl River (Xi Jiang). It is just north of a small city called Gaoming Qu, which is just north of Heshan (a larger city). But I don't see any village called "Saa-teen" nearby.
The place I was looking for was Shekki, the capital? of Zhongshan and Foo-waa, is a hotel called FuHua. Now, all I have to do is find the village called "Die-chong?" or Daa-chong? This is 20 - 30 minutes south of Shekki? The photo is of Shekki in 1930.
